Going camping for your main holiday of the year may not be your first choice if you want a relaxing break but for some it is their only choice so how can you make a camping holiday with the family as relaxing as possible?
Planning is the key to ensuring your holiday is as restful as possible. If you have children on holiday with you then it is a good idea to take plenty of games and other activities with you to keep them occupied throughout the day giving you time to read a good book or sit in the sun for an hour. Young children will obviously need adult intervention at times but if you are on holiday with another adult taking turns to play with the children is a good plan.
When you are packing food stuffs to take away with you try to take as much convenience food with you as possible to cut down on the amount of cooking you will need to do or buy take away food if it is available. Washing up is sometimes tricky when camping so to cut down on this use disposable plates and cutlery for some meals.
A camping holiday can be a time to sit back and relax if you really want it to be so give it a go.
