A family trip to Egypt

Although Egypt is often not the first choice for a family holiday it can be an experience of a life time. Egypt unfortunately has had a few issues recently with crime and therefore many people have stayed well away, but under all of this is a country that has a wealth of history and places waiting to be discovered. Egypt can offer the best of both worlds, trips to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Pyramids, a tour of the Valley of the Kings or a beautiful 5 star resort where you can enjoy the finest in food and accommodation.

If your kids are water babies, then you will want to plan a visit to the Jaz Makadi Aquaviva in beach resort Hurghada where you will get unlimited entry to a waterpark piled high with slides. The Coral Sea Water World is another hotel with a waterpark, situated in Sharm El Sheikh, right on a long, sandy beach.

If you want to experience the wildlife in Egypt then why not take a camel ride or go out on one of their glass bottom boat day trips which are ran throughout the season.

Holiday activity planning

If you are looking to go on holiday or have booked a holiday then you may want to consider what type of activities (if any) you may want to do. For some people, activities couldn’t be further from their mind, and they would be quite happy to start at the resort or on the beach for the duration of their trip whereas for others, they want to use a holiday as a chance to explore and try new things.

Once you have chosen your location do a bit of research to find out what is local to you. There may be some great activities to do right on your door step. Often booking activities in advance rather than paying on the door can save you quite a bit of money and also time, whist also giving you something else to look forward to.

Pre planning can allow you time to compare prices and arrange transport to and from the destination if needed.

Entertainment on a family holiday

I recently took my partner and two children on a family holiday to Newquay. Upon arriving at the campsite, we were asked if we wished to purchase entertainment passes. The cost of the entertainment passes were £10 each for adults and children and therefore added quite a chunk on to our holiday.

The entertainment passes were required to use the on site club house (which hosted the evening entertainment), the swimming pool and also the games room. Not wanting to not have access to these facilities we forked out £40 for the four of us to have a pass each.

The entertainment passes in my opinion were not worth it and should I be visiting again, would not be happy in paying for them. The evening entertainment was ok for the children but the adults left a lot to be desired. The toilets and other facilities on site were not very clean and often out of use and the swimming pool (which we only visited once) was cold. Over all we felt we did not get use of our entertainment passes during our stay and could not see where the money had been spent. If you are offered the passes, why not see if you can purchase them at a later date if required as you may not spend too much time on the site to get your money’s worth.

Adventure theme parks

The UK has a wide range of theme parks suitable for adults and families of all ages. If you have children under 5 then you may want to visit one of the smaller theme parks designed specifically for their age range. Peppa Pig world is a fantastic places for youngsters to explore their first theme park in a fun and familiar setting. There are not only rides and outdoor parks to explore but also themed characters walking around waiting to have their photo taken with the children.

If you are unsure as to if your child will like a theme park then you could chose to go somewhere that not only offers rides but also an animal experience for example. West Midlands Safari park is a great day out for all. You can drive round the safari park in the comfort of your own vehicle and then chose to visit the theme park with rides and attractions at the end. They also have a life size dinosaur park that homes mechanical moving dinosaurs for the children to explore.

The Perfect Vacation

We’re all pretty tired with our constant struggle at work and sometimes, the only way we get to rest is to go on an extended vacation. However, if you’re tired of going to the same old beach year after year, then perhaps a change in scenery and activity is in order. If you are interested in lush scenery, a relaxing trip, and a very long golf course, then going on an Algarve Golf Holiday is the best vacation you can get.

A Place Specializing in Golf

Golf is one of the most relaxing yet exciting sports around. It isn’t as physically taxing as other sports unlike football or tennis but still requires a great deal of skill as the game itself is a bit complex. The game may look simple: you hit the golf ball using a golf club and follow after it; hit it again and try to get it inside the hole. However, the amount of skill and finesse required to perfect this game is quite high so playing a lot of games is required to master the sport.
