Ensuring you stay safe when on holiday this summer

Holidays are something that we all look forward to. It may be that you have been saving up for a while or booked your holiday over a year ago, and the time has finally come to jet off.

When people go on holiday they often relax more which can mean they get a bit complacent at times. It is very important to still think carefully about your safety when on holiday and possible even more so than when you are at home, as you may be unfamiliar with your surroundings.

If you decide to go out for a few drinks or to a club in an evening when on holiday, try and avoid travelling alone. Try and meet up with your friends at the hotel and then all travel together. Be sure that if you do go anywhere on your own, that someone knows where you are going and what time you will be back. Be sure to take a phone with you so you have a way of contacting someone should you need help.

If you have children with you, make sure that they are not out of your sight for a second. There may be many more dangers than they are used to when on holiday, such as, as the sea/swimming pools, traffic or crime.
