Holiday traffic tips for drivers

One of the most annoying issues that drivers face on our roads is traffic. This can be especially annoying when you are going to or coming back from a holiday. You may feel that you waste a lot of time that you could be enjoying at your holiday destination, stuck in miles of queuing traffic.  Some drivers have to sit in traffic jams every day they go to work where-as for others it may be when going on holiday or visiting relatives.

You cannot always avoid traffic but you there are things you can do to try and plan the best routes to take.  Aps such as Map on the Iphone or Google Maps offers a traffic overview using you a colour coded system to show what the current traffic flow is like on these roads. It gives you a prediction of travel time and will often show you alternative routes that are faster or shorter. You can opt to avoid motorways or toll roads too.

Some Sat Navs also have traffic information and they will re-route you to a better route should it pick up in delays in traffic ahead. Going on holiday should be an exciting time, so be sure to plan ahead and allow plenty of time so you can enjoy as much time as possible at your destination.
